Cyrano de Bergerac Essay Topics For Advanced Students

Cyrano de Bergerac, the greatest French poet ever, wrote essay topics for the traditional Russian scholars. Cyrano died in 1740 at the age of ninety-six and his essays were admired all over the world, but the greatest of them are still his on which his reputation is based. His best poem for students is considered the 'Encounter at Cavenier', where he reflects on the difference between truth and fiction, the role of nature in life, and the vanity of desire.

Cary Johnsons of Jamsil University writes: 'The Encounter at Cavenier by Cyrano de Bergerac: This article consists of two parts. In the first part I outline the historical context of the poem and place it in the context of classical Russian culture; in the second part I examine the writer's expressionist and impressionist methods.

Here we read Cyrano de Bergerac's ode to his grandmother, through an interesting anthropological study.
